Proverbs 11:14

14Where there is no counsel, the people fall;
But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

I find that there are multiple sides to the failing of counseling. There is need for it and you don't get it. You get it, but you do not listen to it. Or you gain poor counsel. Counsel is good and necessary. We were not designed to go through life on our own and we cannot be so prideful as to think we need to. In the lack of counsel, you may fall away. I would like to highlight an important factor here that helps guard against receiving poor counsel. We are told that it is in the multitude of counselors that there is safety. Do not simply lean upon one. Have many that you can go to for counsel and then actually go to them. If you do so, you will dwell in safety.
