Proverbs 14:17
17A quick-tempered man acts foolishly,
And a man of wicked intentions is hated.

Anger is a snare that grabs ahold of a lot of people. It does not take a lot of time on the news or social media to see how anger twists people's perspective. I am sure most of us can look into our own lives and see how a quick temper has made us act foolishly. It takes a lot of discipline to deny ourselves the pleasure that anger would seek. Remember that the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. We must be cautious with our tempers that we do not make foolish choices. Having our minds set on things above is a great defense to keep our anger from getting ahold of us. Walking steadfastly in the fear of the Lord can act as guard rails for this too. Be diligent in keeping in step with the Lord. May your intent be entirely to follow after Him.
