Proverbs 10:13
13Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has understanding,
But a rod is for the back of him who is devoid of understanding.

A culture that devalues the virtue of discipline is a culture that divulges into a pit of foolishness. The one who has understanding will speak wisdom. We must saturate ourselves with the word of God that we might gain understanding. And if we do not have understanding, see that the Lord in His own love will chastise us. He desires for us to grow in understanding, for He knows how that will benefit us. In our own foolishness do we actively avoid growth in such areas. May we gain hearts of wisdom and pursue understanding of our Lord that our very language would be saturated with such wisdom.
