Proverbs 13:12
12Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.
-Proverbs 13:12
We have a hope and His name is Jesus. We look forward to His return with a hopeful expectation. That being said, there are definitely times where such waiting gets difficult. Even those in the early church struggled with having to wait. Peter writes to encourage those who are stuck in waiting.
8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:8-9
Do not grow weary in waiting for the Lord's return. Know that His return is imminent and grow in the hope that is to be in Jesus. He will come forth and it will be a tree of life for the believer.
