Proverbs 11:28

28He who trusts in his riches will fall,
But the righteous will flourish like foliage.

I can hardly go a day without hearing someone talk about the dollar losing its value. So frequently do I hear people talking about how money was wasted. Or I hear on how something else is broken. We know that money is temporary, yet still, so many choose to put their lives to the effort of gaining as much as possible and putting their trust in what they have accumulated. At the end of the day, the Lord will not be questioning how much money you have made, but what righteousness was invested. While money fails, righteousness has a lasting effect that carries into eternity. Do not forsake walking in righteousness to pursue financial gain. Rather, pursue righteousness in all you do. For in that, you will flourish. Like a tree planted by water and in good soil, it has everything it needs to thrive. So the same for us being in righteousness. It is what sustains us.
