Proverbs 12:9

9Better is the one who is slighted but has a servant,
Than he who honors himself but lacks bread.
-Proverbs 12:9

Let us learn to walk in humility, no matter our lot in life. Paul highlights in the end of Philippians how he has learned what it means to abound and to be abased. He has learned what it means to have much and have little. Yet still, he was able to walk in contentment. If you have, and one takes from you, learn to take it in stride. Do not boast or become prideful of what you have. Walk in humility. If you do not have, do not try to overcompensate with boasting. Do not try to exalt or honor yourself in the midst of lack to try and bolster yourself up. Continue to walk in humility. Whatever case you may be in, I pray we learn contentment. As difficult as it might be, keep in mind that,

6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
-1 Timothy 6:6

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
-Philippians 4:13
