Proverbs 11:27

27He who earnestly seeks good finds favor,
But trouble will come to him who seeks evil.
-Proverbs 11:27

We see throughout Scripture an emphasis upon what we seek. If you are looking for something, your attention is set upon that. It occupies your mind and your motives. If you were to lose your car keys shortly before needing to drive, you would not necessarily be thinking about something else you hope to find. You would be occupied with seeking out what you need to find. Our time here on earth is short. We need not put all of our focus upon seeking the things of this world. Instead, we ought to seek what is good. That which is good is found in the Lord. So seek the Lord with a whole heart and find favor. Otherwise, it may be trouble that finds you.
