Proverbs 11:31

31If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth,
How much more the ungodly and the sinner.

There is an understanding that we must come to of reaping what you sow. Our culture is built upon quick reward with little to no long term consideration. It is set upon instant gratification. The vast majority of people today have now concept for sowing, and therefore have none for reaping either. In simple, if you plant cabbage seeds, you will reap cabbage. It will take time for it to grow, but the reward of what you planted will be ripe for the harvesting. If you study through the Old Testament carefully, you will see that the Lord had instructed for plants not to be sown in mixed seed. Should that be so, one would choke out the other. Similarly, sowing wicked deeds with righteous, the righteous is choked out. You reap accordingly, a poor reward. We will be paid for how our lives are spent, so spend your time wisely. Sow in righteousness.
