Proverbs 12:11
11He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread,
But he who follows frivolity is devoid of understanding.
-Proverbs 12:11
We turn once again to the matter of reaping what you sow. However, instead of focusing on finances, I want for us to focus upon time. After all, Scripture is often compared to daily bread, as is Jesus. If we are seeking to be filled with the Lord, we must be willing to till that ground that brings forth its fruit. In this case, I mean spending time in Scripture. We need to not just be reading the word of God, but studying it. In the same way, for one who wants to reap a harvest of bread, they need not just survey the land, but till it. For one who is simply frivolous with all they have is likened to a man devoid of understanding. Take account of your time throughout the day. How much of it gets wasted? Invest your time wisely and till the soil of the word of God.
