Proverbs 29:6
6By transgression an evil man is snared,
But the righteous sings and rejoices.
-Proverbs 29:6
We see a very deliberate comparison being made here. There is a man who is wicked and a man who is righteous. There is a man who is ensnared and a man who is free. There is a man who wails and one who rejoices. Who do we desire to be? So many have lived their lives in such captivity that they know not what to do with freedom. In Christ, we have liberty. We are made righteous and therefore have every reason to sing and rejoice. We have every cause to be elated in the grace of God, for our transgression is no longer a snare to us. Blessed be the name of the Lord who has made us to be a righteous people. Our sin is not imputed upon us. Do not get caught up in the wicked way. Enter into righteousness. Enter into Christ. Be ever thankful. Rejoice in the Lord your God.
