Proverbs 21:5
5The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty,
But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.
-Proverbs 21:5
There is a poverty that comes by circumstance, but there is also a poverty that happens because of mindset. Most definitely this reality is applicable materially. One who is diligent and careful in their spending will have greater odds of growing their wealth. Those who are impatient and simply run through each paycheck will never be able to grow or build wealth. I like to consider this in regard to our spiritual health as well. Are we diligent in walk? Or do we squander what the Lord has entrusted to us? We have received a great gift in the grace we have been given! Let us take that gift and now invest into eternity with it. Do not simply spend the blood of Jesus by continuing in sin. Walk according to the Spirit and be diligent in faith. Otherwise, you may find your walk is one of poverty. Let us be rich in the eyes of the Lord.
