Psalm 25:1-3

    1      To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, I trust in You;
    Let me not be ashamed;
    Let not my enemies triumph over me.
    3      Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed;
    Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.
-Psalm 25:1-3

This stands to be one of the greatest attitudes of prayer we as believers can have. We lift up our souls before the Lord and come to Him with trust. We have already discussed trusting in the Lord a lot through these devotions and it continues to be a major theme in the Psalms. Perhaps we can gleam from this the importance and practice of what it looks like to trust in the Lord.

We may not be in physical battle and therefore may not view this section as something we can pray with a full heart. Let us not forget the fact that we are constantly in spiritual warfare and absolutely should pray prayers such as these. In the model prayer that Jesus teaches His disciples to pray, He addresses being led away from the evil one. Jesus Himself teaches us to pray for this type of victory.

Have great confidence int he fact that the righteous are not forsaken by God. As you wait upon the Lord He will not allow you to be ashamed. Instead He will renew your strength. Seek the Lord for victory and triumph in your life. Continue to trust in the Lord as you lift your soul up to Him.
