Proverbs 29:16
16When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases;
But the righteous will see their fall.

Wickedness breeds more wickedness. This is a fact that we see within Scripture. It is the reason we see judgments being delivered so thoroughly. We cannot allow for even a little wickedness in our lives, for it will fester and lead to further transgression. While this cycle continues, righteousness also leads to further righteousness and eventually to life. There will come an end to wickedness and it will be the righteous that endures. Persist, therefore, in righteousness and abandon wickedness whole-heartedly. Draw nearer to the Lord day by day and let Him have His perfect work in you.
