Proverbs 30:17
17 The eye that mocks his father,
And scorns obedience to his mother,
The ravens of the valley will pick it out,
And the young eagles will eat it.
-Proverbs 30:17
Scripture gives a commandment with a promise in the instruction to honor one's father and mother. It says that it will be well with them and they will have long life. What of those who dishonor their parents then? What can be expected but to say that the opposite may be true. There is judgment that comes upon such individuals. As we grow in honoring the Lord, our actions should follow that toward those around us. Let us hold fast to Him and His word.
