Proverbs 30:24-28

    24      There are four things which are little on the earth,
    But they are exceedingly wise:
    25      The ants are a people not strong,
    Yet they prepare their food in the summer;
    26      The rock badgers are a feeble folk,
    Yet they make their homes in the crags;
    27      The locusts have no king,
    Yet they all advance in ranks;
    28      The spider skillfully grasps with its hands,
    And it is in kings’ palaces.
-Proverbs 30:24-28

There is a degree of humbling that should hit us as we examine nature as they are so small, so simple, yet so wise in the care they take. Ants are not a strong people in the establishment of kingdom or nation, yet they have the wisdom to take care of their provision and gather what they need. The rock badger does not have a lot going for it in its frame yet it finds a sanctuary to dwell in. Locusts do not have any individual ruling over it, yet they remain orderly and fall in rank with one another. The spider, as bold as it is, has the audacity to dwell even in the kings' palace where man would fear to step in.

We ought to marvel at the wonders of creation and be in awe at how the Lord has demonstrated for us so many examples that are so simple for so many creatures, but so difficult for us to manage. Give praise to the Lord and stand in awe at how incredible He is in His creation!
