Proverbs 30:20

    20      This is the way of an adulterous woman:
    She eats and wipes her mouth,
    And says, “I have done no wickedness.”
-Proverbs 30:20

After recognizing the ease of mastery concerning intimacy between a man and a woman, we have an example of the perversion. In the face of the design at how the Lord has created it to be, the adulterous woman who rebels against that design makes light of the sin and claims to not be in it. It becomes a major issue to disagree with the Lord concerning sin in their life. We are told in 1 John that darkness and light should not have fellowship with each other.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
-1 John 1:6

We ought not to make light of our sin but come into humble submission to the Lord concerning it. Do not walk in darkness. Rather...

9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
-1 John 1:9

This must be our response. Confess literally means, "To say the same as." So when the Lord calls sin sin in your life, you should agree with Him concerning it. The Lord is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse you from unrighteousness. This is the proper response we ought to have.
