Proverbs 30:5

    5      Every word of God is pure;
    He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
-Proverbs 30:5

When we talk of purity, do we truly understand what we are saying? To be pure means to be unalloyed with. It is, in the fullest capacity, what it is. There is no mixture. There is nothing tainting, defiling, or otherwise taking away from what that which is in question. So when we talk about every word of God being pure, there is nothing that is adding to or taking away from it. There is no selfishness. There is no wickedness. There is no lie nor falsehood. There is only that which is true, in the most sound capacity. It gives us all the more reason to put our trust in Him. As we do, He acts as a shield for us. Let us fully put our trust in Him, understanding the purity of His word coming from the purity of His character.
