Proverbs 31:1-3

          The words of King Lemuel, the utterance which his mother taught him:
    2      What, my son?
    And what, son of my womb?
    And what, son of my vows?
    3      Do not give your strength to women,
    Nor your ways to that which destroys kings.

Here we have wisdom passed off from a mother to her son. In this context, the mother gives a firm warning about a particular lustful pursuit. This is not speaking of a man giving himself to his wife, but of men that devout their lives to the unending pursuit of women. In our modern day, this expresses itself through a multitude of different ways, but is easily found out in pornography. The statistics surrounding it are astounding. We see how this had so drastically invaded our culture and I have seen how it has upturned lives. A short look through history will show how indulgence has even upturned kingdoms. Turn your eyes to the Lord and let Him be your thought both day and night.
