Proverbs 29:13

13The poor man and the oppressor have this in common:
The Lord gives light to the eyes of both.
-Proverbs 29:13

It is easy for us to grow in our frustration against people and see the oppressor differently than the poor. And most of the differences we are right to see. Proverbs has focused greatly on the difference between the wicked and the righteous, the just and the unjust, the oppressor and the poor. There is still something at the core of each of these that gives a uniqueness to them all. They share in common that the Lord created them all. It is a humbling mindset when we look at an individual that has grown distasteful to us, for whatever the reason may be, and realize that the same price that purchased you unto Christ Jesus is the same price that was paid for them. Maybe if we let go if our hurt, bitterness, and unforgiveness, we can begin to see that Jesus has extended out that same offer to them as He did to you. Let us pray for those who have hurt us. Let both our actions and our words toward those around us testify of Jesus.
