Psalm 108:1-6

1O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
2Awake, lute and harp!
I will awaken the dawn.
3I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples,
And I will sing praises to You among the nations.
4For Your mercy is great above the heavens,
And Your truth reaches to the clouds.
5Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
And Your glory above all the earth;
6That Your beloved may be delivered,
Save with Your right hand, and hear me.
-Psalm 108:1-6

There is a passion for praise found amidst the psalms that should be shared among us. I have found, as I have written these devotions, that there is a searching in the psalmist for cause to praise. As we are corporately going through the series of Reasons to Praise, we should engage in practicing looking for excuses to praise. Upon the rising and the setting sun, let praise be on your lips. With what you have or to what capacity you may, sing praises to the Lord. Turn on worship music and rejoice in the Lord. Turn to the psalms and pray them to the Lord. Think of His mercy and His truth and exalt His name. Praise is not always easy, but it does not have to be hard. Give praise to the Lord today.
