Psalm 118:19-21
19Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I will go through them,
And I will praise the Lord.
20This is the gate of the Lord,
Through which the righteous shall enter.
21I will praise You,
For You have answered me,
And have become my salvation.

If you haven't quite seen the Messianic focus through Psalm 118 yet, perhaps this will bring it together for you. Jesus shares clearly that He is the gate for the sheep to enter. He is the door. He is the way. The fact is that we cannot truly offer praise to the Lord outside of Jesus. Only in Jesus is our praise received by the Father. He has become our salvation and allowed us to be reconciled with the Lord. Having now the ability to freely praise the Lord, let us take full advantage of that and rejoice in Him! Praise God Almighty, our salvation!
