Psalm 119 - Nun
105Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
106I have sworn and confirmed
That I will keep Your righteous judgments.
107I am afflicted very much;
Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word.
108Accept, I pray, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord,
And teach me Your judgments.
109My life is continually in my hand,
Yet I do not forget Your law.
110The wicked have laid a snare for me,
Yet I have not strayed from Your precepts.
111Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever,
For they are the rejoicing of my heart.
112I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes
Forever, to the very end.
-Psalm 119:105-112
Most of us will be familiar with this section of Scripture. The Word of God illuminates our path on where we ought to go and what we ought to do. See then how the Psalmist walks in this path. It is one thing for us to know what we should do. It is another thing to actually do it. For all the illumination in a room, a misstep can still cause you to trip and fall. We must be diligent with how we walk. Stray not from this path and you will do well. Incline your heart to the Lord and walk obediently to Him. May the Lord broaden the path beneath you and illuminate the road before. And may your walk diligently, keeping in step with His guidance.
And a light to my path.
