Psalm 134
1Behold, bless the Lord,
All you servants of the Lord,
Who by night stand in the house of the Lord!
2Lift up your hands in the sanctuary,
And bless the Lord.
3The Lord who made heaven and earth
Bless you from Zion!

Blessing the Lord ought to be a very common practice for us as believers. Whereas previously it was necessary to be in the house of the Lord to bring praise to Him, He now dwells in our midst. It is not a place where we go to bring Him praise. It is as we dwell together that we can bless His name. The really important thing for us to see in this passage is that this is not just a solo activity. The Lord is to be praised while we are on our own, most definitely. However, that is not exclusive. We must give praise to the Lord with one another. Our cheer unto God encourages and spurs one another on in the faith. Be swift to give praise to the Lord and bless His holy name.
