Proverbs 3:27-28

27Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so.
28Do not say to your neighbor,
“Go, and come back,
And tomorrow I will give it,”
When you have it with you.
-Proverbs 3:27-28

In our modern day culture, we run into a lot of analysis paralysis. We look at a situation form all angles to decide if it is a good decision, and then we do it again, and again. We eventually spend all our time analyzing a situation and end up never acting on it. This turns into a good thing if what we were contemplating was a bad decision, but when it comes to withholding that which is good, then we have a severe problem.

If you have the ability to do what is right and know what you should do but don't do it anyway, that is called the sin of omission. Not only is it not wise, it is sinful. We as believers should hasten to do what is good and right. Remember that everything you do is for an audience of One. The Lord is looking over you and watching you. He sees what you do and knows your heart. The Kingdom of God is not built upon good intentions. It is built with the works He has set aside for us (Eph. 2:10). So hasten to do what is right. Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due.
