Proverbs 5:21-23

21For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord,
And He ponders all his paths.
22His own iniquities entrap the wicked man,
And he is caught in the cords of his sin.
23He shall die for lack of instruction,
And in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
-Proverbs 5:21-23

This should invoke the fear of the Lord into your hearts. Nothing goes without sight before the Lord. It is certainly a challenge by itself to put on appearances and be good around other people. It is an even more difficult challenge to do so when you are alone. Even still, a more difficult challenge arises when we understand that the very nature of our hearts are before the Lord. All of your paths, the Lord has pondered. Do not find yourself ensnared by sin. Do not be caught in trespass or iniquity. Be wise and in that wisdom, gain knowledge and instruction. Live by that with all diligence, lest foolishness prevail and you find yourself walking astray.
