Proverbs 6:30-35

30People do not despise a thief
If he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving.
31Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold;
He may have to give up all the substance of his house.
32Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding;
He who does so destroys his own soul.
33Wounds and dishonor he will get,
And his reproach will not be wiped away.
34For jealousy is a husband’s fury;
Therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
35He will accept no recompense,
Nor will he be appeased though you give many gifts.
-Proverbs 6:30-35

Though you can return that which is stolen, when it comes to sexual immorality there is nothing you can give back to right that wrong. Paul wisely points out that every sin is outside the body, but the sin of sexual immorality is against one's own body. That is something that sticks with you. Indeed the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness. This does not mean natural consequences do not still take place. Sexual immorality physically changes you. Observing pornography physically changes your brain to think differently. It deteriorates thinking capacity and attention span. It inhibits every day life.

Sexual immorality is no joke and it is a detriment to our society that it has become such a huge focus through all forms of entertainment. We need to take a militant stance against such things. Refuse to partake in movies that display things like nudity or sexual content. Refrain from reading books that engage in the same. Do not listen to music that promotes or exalts explicit content. We cannot sit around and wait for the world to change around us and hope they will learn the error of their ways. We are the forerunners that need to say that enough is enough. Keep yourself from such things.
