Proverbs 10:8-9
8The wise in heart will receive commands,
But a prating fool will fall.
9He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known.

We live in the "I know" culture of the world. This is something that I saw a lot more as a youth pastor, but I am seeing it more and more throughout the world. Whenever instruction is given, I hear an "I know" from the recipient. The problem is, the person did not know and fails to receive instruction. It is wisdom to receive instruction and correction. Do not allow your own pride to overcome your ability to learn and grow. Having integrity will help maintain this as well. The wise man is the man of integrity. We have the ability to stand upright and walk in that path. The foolish will fall. So walk then in uprightness, maintain integrity, and be wise in receiving commands.
