Proverbs 10:14

14Wise people store up knowledge,
But the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
-Proverbs 10:14

There is a saying that has been popularized over the years. Knowledge is power. There is a very large truth to that. Let me give a very real example on how knowledge has the tremendous ability to impact your life. Consider the difference from when you were absent of the knowledge of Christ as Lord and Savior and compare that to after. Quite literally, you became a new person by the knowledge of the Lord Jesus. How foolish it would be to stop there! The wise continues to grow in knowledge while the foolish speaks empty words. Like the pharisees that Jesus rebuked, their words are like whitewashed tombs,

which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.
-Matt. 23:27b

So be wise and store up knowledge, not simply for the sake of knowledge, but for the sake of knowing God.
