Proverbs 11:3-4

3The integrity of the upright will guide them,
But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
4Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
But righteousness delivers from death.
-Proverbs 11:3-4

I often pray that I would value rightly what needs to be valued. I have seen many breaking their backs and selling their lives away to gain in riches. Though it is in vain that they labor. We do a lot to try and live "comfortable" lives. What are we willing to give that we may live righteous lives? Do not fall for the trap of overestimating the value of money and underestimate the value of righteous living. There have been many I have heard from that have no time to read the bible but are able to give their whole days to work. I do not find there being a lack of time issue as much as a lack of priority issue.

Value what needs to be valued. Walk in righteousness and strive to grow in walking in righteousness. At the end of the day, that is what will matter. The Lord is not going to be focusing on your net worth or how much time you spent at work. He will not be looking at how comfortable you managed to live your life. He will be looking at righteous living. So live in righteousness.
