Proverbs 11:12

12He who is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbor,
But a man of understanding holds his peace.
-Proverbs 11:12

Our world teaches that grudges are a wise thing. While they do not mean for it to be over excessive, they do consider it to be a wise thing for the sake of watching out for others. The world also teaches to simply keep your distance and that is how you maintain peace. Both of these are in fact devoid of wisdom. Part of holding one's peace means interacting with them, but we interact in a right way. Especially in the faith, we are called to maintain unity. It is vital that we learn how to interact with others. Take what is taught in Romans 12 and live by this,

17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 Therefore
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
-Romans 12:17-21
