Proverbs 13:22
22A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,
But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

It is a wise and good thing to consider the kind of legacy you leave behind. What is it that you leave for the generations to come? My dad was very vocal about his goal in raising us kids. It was that he wanted us to be better than him. He wanted us to be more spiritually refined, better established in work, and more well disciplined. As such, a good inheritance is left, be that money or not. But what becomes of all that the sinner has built up? If the righteous reward is gain but the sinners reward is loss, then what the sinner leaves behind is worthless to them. Consider what it is that you leave behind.
