Proverbs 14:7-8

7Go from the presence of a foolish man,
When you do not perceive in him the lips of knowledge.
8The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way,
But the folly of fools is deceit.
-Proverbs 14:7-8

There is a certain attitude that Scripture has for foolishness that we would do well to adopt. Unfortunately, in the name of walking in love, we have fallen victim to a trap. We are not called to join ourselves together with those who are in foolishness. Rather, we are called to remove ourselves from it. This does not mean you cannot have a conversation with someone like that, but it does mean that we should not make our company with them. Our goal is to grow in wisdom, and bad company corrupts good morals. We must be prudent in our pursuit and be wary of foolishness.
