Proverbs 14:15
15The simple believes every word,
But the prudent considers well his steps.

When I read this, I think of the Bereans in Acts 17:11 that tested what it was that the disciples were saying. They were diligent in the Word and sought the truth out. The simple just takes everything with a grain of salt and accepts whatever is fed to them. Taking it all in stride, they enter openly into deception and have no wisdom to bring themselves out. the prudent is not so. The prudent is like the Bereans, testing the truth and considering their ways. I pray that we would be an introspective people, considering our own ways and watching our own steps. May our walk be one that is guided by the word of God.
