Proverbs 14:24

24The crown of the wise is their riches,
But the foolishness of fools is folly.
-Proverbs 14:24

I know many people who I would consider to be extremely wise, but they certainly are not ones I would consider to be rich. So what should we make of this? The point of it is this: wisdom is rewarded. We have talked in previous devotions about what Scripture really captures as riches. Where the reward of foolishness is folly, the riches of the wise is wisdom. It seems redundant until you think about it. The wise understand that there is more to know and grow in. As such, the wise will grow in those things. However, fools think they have it all together and are met with being foolish all their days.
