Proverbs 15:12
12A scoffer does not love one who corrects him,
Nor will he go to the wise.

Do you love those who love you enough to bring correction? The Proverbs have very well established the issue of us needing correction as well as the importance of us receiving it well. The wise are those who take to it. Yet the scoffer despises the one who brings correction. In fact, the scoffer so despises it that they will not go to the wise that they might not have to suffer correction. As such, the scoffer will continue in their foolishness. Do not be those that continue in foolishness. Heed correction and go to the wise. Seek counsel and grow in understanding. These will keep you and strengthen you.
