Proverbs 15:27
27He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house,
But he who hates bribes will live.

Greed is something that I have found is not talked about nearly as much as it should be in the Western Church. Scripture has a lot to say about the love of money and how it corrupts and corrodes. The issue is not whether or not you have the goods of this world. It is whether or not the goods of this world have you. You could be rich or impoverished and still have a heart set upon the things of this world. However, the outcome is the same. It troubles your household. Do not set your hopes on the goods of this world. It will all fade away. Set yourself upon the Lord and the promises of His hope. Set your mind on Christ. It will be well with you.
