Proverbs 16:7

7When a man’s ways please the Lord,
He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
-Proverbs 16:7

There is a reality in the obedience that we walk in with the Lord that it is attractive to the nonbeliever and it also helps to reconcile. Now there is definitely persecution for those that walk in righteousness, but it is astounding how walking in humility and honoring the Lord can help avoid or settle conflict. Consider this: when we work in our jobs unto the Lord, we become the best workers. When we care for people as the Lord instructs, we become the best citizens and the best neighbors. When we give generously as instructed by the Lord, we are the most charitable. When we desire the things of the Lord over the goods of this world, we are the least greedy. When we are accountable to the Lord above all else, we have the most integrity. Walk in a way that pleases the Lord and, as much as within your ability, be at peace with all men.
