16How much better to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

I pray that we all grow in understanding the value of wisdom. I have seen so many give up so much in their lives in order to attain wealth and riches of all various sorts. I see people working long hours and sacrifice so much of their lives for things. However, when it comes to getting wisdom, it gets put on the back burner. If we are willing to give so much for something that is of lesser value, what should we give that we may have more of what is greater? Let us be invested in the word of God and in prayer. Let us meditate upon His Scriptures that we may grow continuously in wisdom. Let us invest in that which will last instead of that which will be lost here.
