Proverbs 16:21

21The wise in heart will be called prudent,
And sweetness of the lips increases learning.
-Proverbs 16:21

Caution will come about with being wise. Yet there is a balance in this. The wise do not get stuck upon inaction as many who call themselves cautious do. There is wisdom in stepping back and deciding whether or not something is a good decision. There is a lack of wisdom on the one who steps back and never moves past that point because of fear. Growing in wisdom will help even that. You will know when to move and where to move. The wise will know how to conduct themselves, both in action and in speech. Speaking with a certain gentleness can help bring others into wisdom as well. Yelling at someone and calling them foolish is almost certain to secure them in their foolishness. However, taking the time with someone who is lacking wisdom and sharing the truth in love may bring a fruitful increase. I pray that we may be wise in all our conduct.
