Proverbs 16:27-30

27An ungodly man digs up evil,
And it is on his lips like a burning fire.
28A perverse man sows strife,
And a whisperer separates the best of friends.
29A violent man entices his neighbor,
And leads him in a way that is not good.
30He winks his eye to devise perverse things;
He purses his lips and brings about evil.
-Proverbs 16:27-30

The nature of the wicked is to practice and perform wickedness. It should not catch us off guard when they do wickedness, rather, we should anticipate it. In our idea of being gracious, we tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. This is not necessarily a bad thing, though it does leave us to be caught off guard when wicked men do wicked things. I do not expect those of the world to walk out or even desire to do any of the things that Scripture calls righteousness. The world operates differently than Scripture would have us operate. So do not be surprised when the world does what it does. As for you, be prepared to bring Christ into the situations that you're placed in. Be the light and the righteousness that people see.
