Proverbs 16:31

31The silver-haired head is a crown of glory,
If it is found in the way of righteousness.
-Proverbs 16:31

The way that we look at age in our culture is so backwards. Generally speaking, each generation has a distaste for other generations. It is not only the young being looked down upon for their age, but the old as well! Respect for one another has gone out the window. Despite how each generation looks at one another's generation, what we end up seeing is each generation being ashamed of where they are at. Whereas Scripture speaks highly of youthfulness, we shun it. When it speaks of the aged, it speaks of them being crowned with glory, yet we shame it and try to hide it. I pray that our attitude can come in line with Scripture where we learn the value of the stages of life we are in and that others are in.
