Proverbs 16:32

32He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
-Proverbs 16:32

Anger is a hard one to get past. It is one of those things that we are a little more relaxed on in the body of Christ. We give so many excuses and opportunities for anger to dominate our lives. It is easy to cast blame off of us by saying that we didn't have our coffee, or we were just hangry and did not mean it. We justify ourselves by highlighting the wrong that others have done to invoke our anger. The reality is, it takes a lot to be slow to anger. See the might that it speaks with here. The one who can control their anger and rule themselves well is better than a mighty man who can overtake a city. This kind of strength is something that we must lean on the Lord for. Draw near to the Lord. Be watered by His word that you would grow in the fruit of the Spirit and have self control. Let us not be dominated by anything, but in everything be ruled by the Lord.
