But he who repeats a matter separates friends.

What is your attitude toward an individual that sins against you? Many of us like to turn to a close friend or family member and "vent" about the person who wronged us. We slander and gossip until that person apologizes and repents. The attitude that we should possess is one that seeks reconciliation. Rather than just putting someone on blast for the wrong they have done, how would it change things if we also sought their repentance in love? It brings about unity instead of division. It brings reconciliation instead of divorce.
