Proverbs 18:1

    A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire;
    He rages against all wise judgment.
-Proverbs 18:1

This is not a descriptor of a man who is isolated, but rather one who goes to isolate that they may freely live in sin. This is the individual who neglects the gathering of the saints. They isolate so that they may not be called out of their sin. Within the isolating, wisdom goes out the window and he dwells in his own foolishness. The one who goes off on his own and digs himself a hole struggles to climb out of it. We need others around us to help pull us out of poor thinking and foolish living. Do not isolate yourself from others. Cling to your brothers and sisters in Christ. Be refined in the fellowship of the saints.
