Proverbs 18:9
9He who is slothful in his work
Is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.
-Proverbs 18:9
Slothfulness and laziness are not things to be taken lightly. We must understand that we work as unto the Lord, and if what we are bringing before the Lord is sloth, what does that testify of our character? Negligence of what we are supposed to do is equated to great destruction. Naturally, those things which are not maintained tend towards destruction. It has the ability to threaten even relationships. I consider this in my relationship with the Lord. Should I be lazy in my study of Scripture and my diligence in pursuit of the Lord, what becomes of it? It will falter to destruction. So let us instead be diligent and grow in that.
