Proverbs 18:15
15The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge,
And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

A question I frequently get is, "Why do I not hear from God?" My response usually goes the effect, "How do you seek after Him?" There is a diligence that we must have in pursuit of the Lord. Those who are well acquainted with the Word of God do not get there by a lack of prudence and deaf ears. They got there by being diligent in pursuit of the Lord and having ears to hear. We must do the same. Do not just read the works of those brilliant men who went before us and grew in their understanding of the Lord. Emulate their behavior in pursuing after Him. Let your heart be prudent and your ears attentive.
