Proverbs 19:2

2Also it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge,
And he sins who hastens with his feet.
-Proverbs 19:2

It is unfortunate the amount of believers that I have talked with that do not see reading, studying, and understanding the Bible to be something that is necessary for them. It is as though Christ only died and rose again as a ticket to heaven, rather than to set people free from their bondage and enable them to walk in their newfound freedom. We should desire to grow in our knowledge of the Lord in the same way a husband should hunger to grow in the knowledge of his wife. What becomes of the one who does not do so? Sin becomes the priority. So let us grow in knowledge, not for the sake of knowledge, but for the sake of knowing God. I pray that it would help keep you from sin and enable you to grow in righteousness.
