Proverbs 19:3
3The foolishness of a man twists his way,
And his heart frets against the Lord.
-Proverbs 19:3
The nature of wisdom is clarity. It is not very far into the Proverbs where that becomes clear. Foolishness makes the waters of life murky and confusing. You follow your own desires but those desires change from day to day, sometimes even minute to minute. Conflict arises with people and it becomes more and more difficult to get your feet under you. Then there is the moral issue of living in such a way. Sin is the stepping stone of foolish living. As such the nature of the foolish man will conflict with the Lord. So let us then grow in wisdom, having clarity in our steps and certainty in our direction. Let us pursue righteousness, that we may not fret against the Lord, but walk in step with Him.
