Proverbs 19:23

23The fear of the Lord leads to life,
And he who has it will abide in satisfaction;
He will not be visited with evil.
-Proverbs 19:23

There have been many teachings in the modern church that state we should no longer fear the Lord. As a result, we have pulpits that are lacking in distributing meat, and congregants that do not know that meat is even lacking. The virtues of a Christian life go amiss. The pursuit of holiness grows more and more absent. There is a great lack of satisfaction. The fear of the Lord should be a focal point for us as believers. It acts as guard rails in our lives and helps to keep us on a straight path. With that, our confidence and faith in the Lord grows more and more. With us maintaining faith, life is what awaits us. How can we not dwell in satisfaction when that is our focus? Walk as those in the early church did. Walk in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
