Proverbs 20:7

7The righteous man walks in his integrity;
His children are blessed after him.
-Proverbs 20:7

There is something very important to be said for the righteous parent. As I am sure many have horror stories about the relationship with their parents who are nonbelievers, I have been blessed to have parents who are sincere in their faith. Similarly, my wife comes from the same kind of parentage. I can speak as a child of this that the blessing of righteous parents who walk in integrity is real.

We all know that raising children is not a simple walk in the park. There are times of frustration and times of confusion. There are times of laughter and joy. Regardless of how good or how bad the season may be, we as parents are still instructed to walk in righteousness and uphold integrity. As we commit our way to the Lord, we also commit our children to Him. Pray for your children. Grow in the Word. Walk out your faith in sincere obedience. Demonstrate the example of godliness.
